ETeamGlobal Prepares to Return to the Field!!

IMG_2554_small.jpg

As vaccinations become more available, cracks of opportunity to travel and join in ministry once again with our partners in Africa and Europe are emerging. We want to share these opportunities with you and update you on how our ministry has stayed relevant despite COVID. Your prayers and support helped us explore and expand on new ways of ministry, while also providing tens of thousands of dollars in aid to ETG partners hit hardest by COVID’s impact on local economies.

Those prayers and support are needed now more than ever! As we resume travel, we need the financial resources to pay for travel and support our teams. We are grateful and blessed by your support and humbly ask that you give to our mission funds so that we can get back in the fields! In addition to our newsletter, we are sending you a prayer calendar sharing how you can pray for us over the coming months as well as a card detailing the specific financial needs of our ministry and upcoming missions.

Missions Unleashed

We are called to evangelism of the nations. Mike Parker and Tim Robnett responded to that call by devoting more than 30 years of their lives to global evangelism. The past year severely challenged this DNA of travel and mission. Like kids kept in the house too long, they are straining to get out, to go and to serve! And Lord willing, it looks like that will happen very soon!

Mike has received a unique invitation to minister in Ethiopia with our friend, Richard Gardner of Firm Foundations in Christ Ministry. We are praying and believing that Mike, along with long-time ETG partner Kate Thomas, will join Richard and a small team to minister to potentially 15,000 Ethiopians in late March. Please pray with us for safe travel, health, and strength during COVID (though not that extreme in Ethiopia). Pray too for Spirit filled hearts as they preach Christ and train evangelists to multiply ministry in their nation.

This is an amazing opportunity to preach the gospel and train evangelists in a country ETG has never ministered in before. We will also meet with Christian leaders to discuss opportunities to train local evangelists there as we have done in Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Russia, Spain, and N. Macedonia. Please mark March 22-30 on your calendars so that you can pray daily for Mike, Kate, and Richard!!

By God’s grace and provision Tim too will travel again soon, and it will not be a short trip! In early May he is planning to return to Nigeria, where he’ll team up with New Life for All, and John and Lorie Stewart to teach at the 5th Nigeria Forum for Evangelists. Lord willing, Tim will then join up with Suli Suliman (an ETG sponsored Multnomah University grad student) to visit Sierra Leone and investigate new ministry opportunities in that West African nation. Pray for favor, insight, and wisdom on how the LORD might use ETeamGlobal to serve for a season of ministry. From there, Tim hopes to fly to E. Europe for strategic planning meetings and to teach classes at the third Forum for Evangelists in N. Macedonia.

Prayer continues as a High Priority for ETeamGlobal!   On March 17 ETeamGlobal’s Twice Daily Prayer campaign will mark its 1-year anniversary. These prayer times began in response to the pandemic but have since developed into something more, something greater! These are daily, intimate times with our God and Father, our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. ETeamGlobal partners from USA, Canada, Australia, Uganda, Nigeria, South Africa, Poland, Spain, and Slovakia join regularly to pray each day.

These sessions provide sustaining grace and joy in the midst of the difficulties we all have faced. We have reached new depths of the awareness of God in life and in our lives. New ideas have come from above and a community of Jesus followers, while camping by our computers, have discovered God shows up there too! Even if we can’t go on our usual journeys or daily routines, God is not closed in! We invite you to join us in service for our KING! For more information, email us at info@eteamglobal.org.

Something More Family Festival—August 2021

Eatonville Festival Graphic.jpg

Eatonville pastors press on with hope in their hearts to see joy, unusual joy, fill their community with the love of God and hope of eternal life. Chris Kingston and Tim continue to meet weekly with 7 to 9 pastors from Eatonville, Washington in prayer, planning and hope of a joyous Gospel festival this summer.

What a privilege to journey with these pastors despite the COVID restrictions. These pastors are mature in Christ and really love their people. We are continuously amazed at their willingness to adapt new ways to teach the Word of God and see the church grow! We can only say, “Praise the LORD” for such faithful and loving pastors!!

Pray with them as they continue their work to help the gospel find a higher and greater place in their communities. The “Something More Family Festival” is August 7th

COVID’s personal impact on ETeamGlobal

The demands and restrictions of the pandemic have touched ETeamGlobal team members in very personal ways. Robie Burleson (2nd from L) and Conrad Parsons (far L) have had to step back a notch in their ETG ministry because of the financial demands imposed on them by COVID restrictions. Robie is training in a new job and Conrad has taken an interim pastoral position in Australia that enables him to better to care and provide for his family. We look forward to the time when they can return with full vigor and commitment to serving with ETeamGlobal.

Please keep Robie and Conrad in your prayers. Their hearts are stretched as they accept the realities of life. God is good and our brothers are noble warriors for the LORD, willing to do what it takes to meet the demands of life.

Training—A Priority for the Generations

It is hard to imagine that anything good could come from the pandemic, but it did force us to explore new ways to train students enrolled in Multnomah University’s Masters and Doctorate programs in evangelism. We modified the training process to include online instruction and infield training.

One of the immediate benefits we noticed is these changes improved our ability to attract and train evangelists from several new countries.

Pray with us for the new class season of June 7-18. Then, by God’s grace, we will come together for a mission reaching several African nations by the end of 2021. Your prayer is needed as we train evangelists for all nations. God is able!

We will share more details as the year goes along.
