Prayer for East Africa and our CTM Partners
Record floods in East Africa have displaced thousands as Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake connecting Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, is at its highest level ever measured. And now a second wave of locusts threatens the region. All of this is hampering COVID-19 relief efforts by our partners in Uganda. Immediate needs to pray for include food, shelter, sanitation and basic medical facilities. Needed supplies haven’t been able to reach many areas, as flooded roads and pandemic travel restrictions have disrupted the supply chain.
Our partners at Christ Transformation Ministries did prove resourceful as CTM aid workers recently used motorcycles piled with supplies to reach remote villages, delivering needed food and supplies. Aid workers say some villagers had started relying on tree bark to ease their hunger pains. ETG has helped CTM plant several churches in this region. Pray for continued soft hearts for the Gospel and praise God for decisions made as CTM Aid workers help meet villager’s physical as well as spiritual needs.
