A Special Season to Expand the Mission

Dr. Tim Robnett, President, ETG

Tim preaching at Greater Bible-2017_small.jpg

We are in a special season of ministry for the same reasons we have endeavored to Identify, Affirm, Train, and Mobilize evangelists since 2010. For the last five months the Covid-19 pandemic has restricted our proven ways of ministry. But with the Lord's help we have focused this season of ministry on prayer, staying in regular communications with our international partners, preparing for classes and recruiting new students for the Multnomah Global Evangelism training courses, and developing our team.

Through it all, your support has remained steadfast. God has blessed and is blessing us as a new level of special financial gifts have been received. As a result, we have delighted in seeing our partners receive greatly needed assistance through ETeamGlobal, for rent relief, payroll support, and basic necessities!

ETG is also expanding its social media ministry! As you receive this newsletter, we'll be launching a new webpage which you can explore at www.eteamglobal.org. I also invite you to join our twice daily ZOOM prayer calls where we touch base and pray for/with supporters and global partners. This is a great way to become a participant in the heart of what ETG is all about. You can find details on how to join on Page 3. In addition, our FACEBOOK page has two new, weekly features: Christ Responders on Mondays and the testimonies of ETG Evangelists on Thursdays. Hear a challenging and timely thought from God's Word and learn more about our TEAM. Please join, listen, and share.

Though our world has been altered by Covid-19 and civil unrest, the mission to reach our world with the Gospel, by mobilizing evangelists to serve the church worldwide, has only accelerated—join the team!

A New Look for ETeamGlobal!!

We are excited to share with you changes to the ETG website. On July 20, we launched a newly designed website that gives ETG a fresh, new online presence, and enables us to communicate more effectively the mission of ETG, our missions and projects, as well as the results of those efforts.

We want to thank Chris Webster, who designed the new webpage and has been our volunteer 'IT Admin' for several years now! We encourage you to check out the fruits of his labor at www.eteamglobal.org!

As for our new design, it accomplishes more than just giving us a new look. By redesigning our website and moving it to a new webhost, eteamglobal.org is now a much more mobile friendly website—making it a lot easier to read and view on devices such as smartphones and tablets.

These changes also mean we are in a better position to integrate with our social media pages such as Facebook and Instagram. Which is going to be important moving forward as ETG expands its social media efforts, which Austin Hall explains in the following story.

ETeamGlobal’s Digital Shift

Austin Hall, ETG Evangelist

Ministry as we know it has definitely shifted. We dream of the days of getting back in front of a live in-person audience to share the gospel, but we are grateful for the hand of the Lord in growing our ministry’s social media efforts to give us even greater impact.

The Lord honored our prayers as framed by Colossians 4:3 “And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ…” Though many doors closed, the digital doors have been flung wide open!

The solution was Facebook. Why? The average person spends 5.4 hours on his/her personal device each day and Facebook is the largest social media platform that spans all demographics. In a time of crisis, we desired to reach people in their homes with the life changing gospel message. How? What content do people want? How long? What is meaningful and impactful? As a ministry we had to dive into this and make our stand to advocate for the gospel. The ministry of Christ Responders is birthed.

Christ Responders’ premise is that we won’t get into politics or side with any one movement. The Christ Responders ministry will look to the Bible as our authority, as each evangelist presents a meaningful, concise teaching that challenges the viewer/listener to look inward at one’s own heart as we ask the question, “How would Christ respond?” This new dimension of our ministry has united the team in an incredible way. We have had a tremendous reach with our messages, and we are just starting!

Our reinvigorated social media ministry also lets the prayer warriors and supporters of ETG get to know the team better. Every Thursday each member will share their testimony. It is always amazing to hear how one encountered Christ, and to experience the passion and calling one has for the gospel. We pray these messages will excite you, motivate you, and challenge you (for the better) as you continue your journey pursuing Christ.

We invite you to connect with us on Facebook by searching "eteamglobal" then please Like and Follow our page. When you see posts that impact you, please Like, Share, and Comment on our posts and help us get the life changing message of the Gospel to the nations!

COVID Relief Update

We continue to be humbled by the compassion and generosity of the ETeamGlobal family. In April we asked you to give $10,500 to our COVID Relief Fund. You responded with $16,000! In May we asked for your continued support to raise another $15,000 for a total of $25,500. As of July 17, ETG supporters have raised almost $28,000 in donations!! God is good! Your gifts:

  • Helped purchase more than 11 tons of food!!!

  • Helped feed approximately 6,000 people.

  • Helped pay the rent & salaries of ministry staff in Nigeria, Rwanda, Eq. Guinea, and Macedonia.

Your giving has also helped maintain partner ministries in a half-dozen countries and as a result approximately 400 people have made decisions for Christ. Moreover, our partners in Spain, while serving more than 1,400 meals a day, have also saved several women from human traffickers!

It is our desire to continue to support our partners' ministries, and if you would like to help you can do so in a couple of ways. Click on the Donate button on our new website, or mail a check made out to ETeamGlobal to:

O, the pure delight of a single hour

That before Thy Throne I spend

When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,

I commune as friend with friend!

"I Am Thine, O Lord," Fanny J. Crosby's prayer in song, was published in 1875 but it is as current today as it was the day it was penned. At a time when a virus and travel ban might try in vain to prohibit holy communion with the saints, the LORD is doing something new and beautiful as He draws His people around the world nearer to His heart.

Since March 17, ETeamGlobal evangelists, partners, and supporters have come together to pray twice a day! Voices from different longitudes and latitudes rise before the throne like incense (Psalm 141:2a), from Macedonia, Uganda, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Cameroon, India, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Australia, and different parts of the USA. With praises, confessions and petitions couriered by His Spirit to the Father.

I want to share this prayer with you and encourage you to join us via Zoom. We pray every day at 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. PDT. You'll find the link info below. Will you join with us, even now in a mosaic of true prayers offered before His throne?

Dear Father,

We want to appreciate you, oh LORD, for you have brought beauty to our doorstep, the very likeness of You in this call. We come now to you not because of who we are, but who You are--the great I am, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords who spoke everything into existence.

You are God and God all by Yourself. May our praise, honor and thanks be perfume in Your nostrils. Your love is immeasurable. You never tire of hearing from us, but welcome us with arms open wide. You fight our battles from victory, releasing the chains, opening the eyes of the blind, setting the prisoner free.

You are a revolutionary God and we are the apex of Your creation. Embolden us to announce the good news. Globally, may we hear the roar of the Lion of Judah who forgives, rebuilds, and restores with love everlasting. You enable us to pray according to Your Spirit, You who are perfect in love, righteousness, grace, mercy, knowledge, all your emotions, thoughts and power.

God of love, God of both victim and offender, may we bear fruit on branches of self-denial as we long for You to come. We are Your beloved and we look to you for a fresh fill.

Wherever we might be, You are there in full power and capacity. Our loving Heavenly Father save us not out of trouble, but through trouble that we might see by Your Spirit and not our circumstances. You are not buffeted, but have unlimited power so may we kiss the wave that throws us against the rock. Your plan for history will move to its conclusion. Your throne is unassailable, Your sovereignty fully in place.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Classes resume next month! Tim Robnett

Arthur+Magesi-George+Muguro+by+MU+sign_reduced.jpg

Like many parents and teachers around the world, we long for classes to return this Fall! But how and in what form remain to be seen. We do know that because of COVID-19, change is inevitable. We’re already seeing that in the classes at Multnomah University. The training of evangelists at Multnomah University will resume next month (Aug. 17-28) after being delayed for several months. But they will now be online. Teachers and students are adjusting to this new reality, but the mission goes on!

Next month’s virtual sessions mark the third cycle of Master’s and Doctorate classes at MU with four new students entering the 3-5-year program. These students from Kenya, Uganda, and Venezuela, join seven continuing students already in the program. The majority are international students, and most are supported via ETG’s scholarship program. This program celebrated the graduation of its first three students this past December!

ETG is trusting the Lord and asking our friends of the ministry to contribute a minimum of $52,000.00 in 2020 to support 9 international students. So, in this year of COVID-19 restrictions, I ask that you consider a timely gift for the education of these evangelists. What a great way to give at this time when so much cannot be done—but the training can continue now! You can give by clicking on the Donate button on our website (www.eteamglobal.org) or sending a check to:
